Whatsapp has now introduced a new feature in which whatsapp users can enable the disappearing messages option for individual or group chat on whatsapp.
How disappearing messages on WhatsApp feature will work ?
Disappearing messages is a new feature that will only work after activating on the individual or group whatsapp chat and all the individual or group chats on which this feature is enabled will automatically delete all messages after seven days of sending or receiving.
This feature can be enabled on Individual chat or group chat one by one and only those chat in which this feature is enabled will delete all incoming or outgoing messages after seven days.
This feature will work for all messages sent or received after activating this feature and old messages will not get deleted.
Will happen Disappearing messages will work on Photos and Videos
The disappearing messages feature will work on Photos, Videos and will delete it from the chat after seven days but all media sent or received on whatsapp is stored on mobile phone memory which needs to be deleted manually.
How to turn on disappearing messages on WhatsApp
- Open individuate chat on Whatsapp
- Tap on the contact name on the top.
- Select Disappearing Messages
- Select on or off
How to enable disappearing messages for a Group chat on WhatsApp
In Group only group admin can enable or disable the disappearing messages option for that particular group.
- Open Group chat on Whatsapp
- Tap on the group name on the top.
- Select Disappearing Messages
- Select on or off

- Open Group chat on Whatsapp
- Tap on the group name or contact name on the top.
- Select Disappearing Messages
- Select on or off
